Instructor
Martin Moreno is a nationally recognized artist primarily known for his public art projects with over 30 years experience in Art Education. He is a veteran of the Artist in Residence Program, sponsored by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, and the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture.
Classes
Introduction to Basic Art
This is a six-week program offered at one-hour intervals on Saturdays beginning in November 2007
Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Class sizes are limited to six students ages 7-12.
Curriculum: Basic drawing skills, form versus shape, perspective, portraits, and introduction to color theory.
Class fee: $180.00 for six-week sessions (scholarships available). Supply list will be provided prior to classes.
Family Mosaic Project
This is a four-week session offered at two-hour intervals on Sundays beginning in November 2007.
Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Class is limited to four family members. Two families per session.
Curriculum: Participants will work towards a finished project. This may be a family shield, table top or wall hangings, reflecting personal statements. (Approx. 2’x 2’) All participants are required to meet one hour prior to class sessions to collect images.
Class fee: $300.00 (Supplies and materials not included. Additional costs will not exceed $80).
